Shave and a Haircut... snip, snip!

A few days ago, 14 abused Cocker Spaniels in Missouri finally caught a break.... their breeder died.  The rescue teams see a lot of terrible things while out on rescues, but the condition of these dogs was the worst.  NMDR was able to take 4 of the dogs, while other rescues helped the rest.  Upon arrival to CO, the 4 Cocker Spaniels went straight to get groomed.

Although we haven't gotten the "after" portraits online yet, we are SO happy to say that all 4 of these dogs are feeling much better.  Thank you to Janie with The Puppy Mill Project for capturing these great photos and video.

While Bernie was getting shaved, Darrell comforted this scared little dog the entire time.

Feeling much better!

With just a little time, proper nutrition, gentle grooming, a whole lot of love, the group of Cocker Spaniel's memories will fade and they'll forget about their horrible past.  Dogs live in the moment.  May every single moment of their future be warm, loving, pain free, gentle and kind.

  3. Thank you NMDR in giving these cocker angels a second chance in life. Your gentle hands and kind voices in the grooming video's, touched my heart ever so deeply.

Miserable Missouri- Only good thing that there is 1 less puppy mill owner in that state now!

  7. Did you save that matted mess off of the chocolate cocker to use for evidence? Or do you not need that for anything?
Darrell you are a great man to be giving that little guy such love and assurance. I am so impressed with how you were with him.
