Meet
Roseann, a 7 year old English Bulldog and one of our
newest arrivals. Rosy, as we are calling her, arrived Friday and was
immediately rushed to the veterinarian as she was unable to move on her
own. She was diagnosed with painful untreated ear, eye,
tail, and c-section surgery infections, and severe spondylosis which is a
painful
deformity of the vertebrae, and is 25 lbs overweight.
In this condition, Rosy delivered puppies approximately 8 weeks ago. Those puppies are probably for sale in pet stores or online today.
Besides providing the medical care that Rosy so desperately needed, our volunteers
have been working to hand-feed her and use syringes to make sure she
gets enough water. She is starting to
perk up and has an interest in her food, and after 7 years of living in a cage and sleeping on a wire floor, Rosy really loves her big, fluffy
comforter!
Please keep Rosy in your thoughts during her journey to become the happy and healthy girl she deserves to be.

Is she going to be able to live relatively pain free from her spine problems?
ReplyDeleteThat is tough to answer at this point, her spondylosis is pretty severe but she is doing much better on a couple of days of Rimadyl. We'll have an update on this soon. Thank you for asking.
DeleteLove her! Praying she will heal and live to a very old age in a loving home!
ReplyDeletePoor angel!!!! Please give her a hug and a kiss from me!!
ReplyDeleteThis breaks my heart! This poor sweet girl deserves a wonderful forever home where she will be spoiled rotten & pampered!
ReplyDeleteShe will soon start to feel better, once the infections are under control and the pain meds kick in. Bless you for saving Rosie and other dogs like Rosie. May the subhumans that got her into that condition reap the appropriate karma.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!
DeleteI have an English bulldog. she is all white too. just an awesome loveable baby. we are not breeding her she.is one.of.the.family
ReplyDeleteWill be keeping this sweet girl in my healing prayers, along with all the little ones who are suffering.
ReplyDeleteshe will be in my prayers! she is adorable. Deserving of a new life, hopefully with much much less pain!! God bless you all at NMDR for the lives you save. Sincerely, Tara K.
ReplyDeleteWhat a Cutie, those sad eyes tell such a heartbreaking story! Can't wait to see them light up with love and tlc! Plz keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteI really wish they would pass laws and make puppy mills illegal. NO dog deserves to live in a cage. I wish we could cage the people who run them!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses to Rosey. I bet the love and care she receives now will help her to heal and feel better!! Thank you for all you do!!
You hang in there Rosey!! There is a better life coming for you, it's started already baby!! <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweetie and I'm so glad she is in loving hands now. Please keep us updated!
ReplyDeletePraying for Rosy, in one of the pictures it show someone's hand gently holding her face and Rosy's paw on her wrist and all I could think was I bet that's the first kind human touch she has ever had besides the ones that rescued her. Her facial expression is priceless and speaks volumes of how even after all the years of being mis-treated and neglected she knows the difference of someone being good and kind to her. God Bless you Rosy you have so much to look forward to and discover. Praying you get the BEST fur ever home!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have spondolysis and I'm a human... i can't imagine trying to give birth to 8 and lay on a hard floor with just that alone... prayers and kisses for Rosy...she's just precious!!
ReplyDeletecrying as I look at her. In my heart of hearts I cannot understand the cruelty of the people in our world. Bless Rosy and I hope she finds some solace in knowing warmth, a soft blanket and some caring human hands.
ReplyDeleteI am also suffer from a spine disease. That alone caught my attention but to add all of her other medical problems along with giving birth and sleeping in a wire cage is just, well I cannot think of a word that would even describe it. The pain this precious animal has endured along with receiving no affection from her breeder is just horrible. The worst part of this story is the fact it is one of many that are continue to go on as we read about Rosy's ordeal. Something has got to stop this horrendous treatment. Call, write or visit anyone you can think of in your area that might be able to write laws or enforce those already on the books. If you feel you just have to get your dog/cat from a pet shop or breeder, please visit the site where the animal was born and see how he or she was treated. Ask questions as a good, reliable person who breeds animals will be more than glad to show you around, let you meet your new friend's parents and any brothers or sisters. We've just got to stop the types of environments like the one Rosy came from even being in existence. I'm sure this girl will be adopted by a very loving person or family but what about the others still out there? So sad.......
ReplyDeletePoor baby...thats not right...:((
ReplyDeleteI know it is empty calories, but I have never seen a dog that doesn't like green beans! I can get a dog to eat them, even if they aren't interested in other foods. Fills their tummy and makes them feel better. FYI. Love my Bullies, I donated my Bully to a Marine Corps Recruiters Office. Green beans are good diet food for dogs and a few carrots are yummy too!
ReplyDeletei literally shed a few tears reading this story and looking at her pics. Shes such a beautiful animal and anyone who would hurt her just to make a few dollars shouldnt even be called a human being! I pray shes on her road to full recovery and finds a great home that will just spoil her rotten like she deserves!!!
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers have been with Rosie since day one.
ReplyDeleteWe had Little Maggie one of your English Bulldogs and just lost her a short tme ago afte a year and a half. Not nearly long enough for a precious little one who should have lived to be at least 100 to enjoy life as she did. We stll can not understand the world and its cruelty. Does Mss Rose need a permanent foster home? or uat a foster vhome. If so please call Nelson adn Karen Boman 570-3311.We pray Rose s as happy as our lttle Maggie.
